It's the time when we make new plans and count on new beginnings.
As for me, being a Russian, New Year is kind of a big deal, so i would like to stop here for couple seconds and say few ( or not so few) words about how the holiday was celebrated here, amongst my new small family, missing somebody though...
Going to No Cal on the 30th i spotted a shooting star in the sky, and that was a really great feeling.. honestly, i don't remember when was the previous time i've seen one. So i decided it must be a good sign! Indeed it is so far!
New Year itself was family style and left only positive emotions, but what i loved the most about it is the trip itself!
We ( me, Veronica and AJ) spent an unforgettable night on the way back in DaysInn in Lost Hills ~200miles north of Los Angeles ( had to stop overnight somewhere for the freeway was closed because of unexpected snow); 3 girls and 4 bottles of wine gave us the most fun 2 hours, though the fun time was very limited due to the "being very drunk" state and the fact of waking up at 5 am, so we won't be stuck in the traffic cause closed freeway! But really, this night made the trip!
Of course we never travel without all kinds of crap, so in between of starting the first bottle and finishing 4th we also managed to fix disco ball in the room and have crazy time, sadly pictures don't reflect all of this and no disco lights are spotted on the shoots.
Mentioning again our origin, which is being Russians, we are known to be tough drinkers, so we had the perfect chance to prove it! Without taking into consideration the amount of alcohol being consumed we woke up at 5 am, following the plan, and continued to drive towards sweet home; that actually took as another little while, but it was so worth it for the sights were amazingly beautiful!
California is without a doubt the most beautiful State! (not that i've travelled US up and down, but it is really wonderful!)
Of course the pictures didn't capture all the beauty, but
i hope at least they give an idea of how gorgeous and
picturesque was it to drive for long 6 or so hours=)
After all, the holiday was great, so entire 2011 will be!
P.S. Happy New Year Everybody Again=)
